I think I may have gone off the deep end over this series of footwear by Raf Simons. The sandal and loafer are actually really under my skin while the boot has my head in a loop. The whole lot of them have me thinking of Darth Vader and the F-22. Wearable or not, they certainly have piqued my interest over the past few days. Adventurous souls can find them at sevennewyork.com

I love them. Would buy them if:
a) I had anything to match in my wardrobe
b) I had more then £3 spending money a month
Oh! I wouldn't be concerned whether they are wearable or not. The fact remains that these shoes will drive me mad if I don't have them so for the sci-fi fascination of sorts, one might as well hold on to it a little longer!
I like the boot a lot. Though one would have to be mindful about where one would wear them...

i find these styles too excessive. the sides almost look like blinders. i think they might be great if there was utility and purpose to the look other than being 'sci-fi.'
the blinders also make me think a lot of junk will get trapped between the blinder and the shoe.
I just want to say the same thing as STEVE... go BACK!!!! Your insights are always interesting and witty! There aren't so many men's fashion blogs like that... !!!!
They're not really wearable, except for those far more aventurous than I, but they are crazy and amazing. Love them!

I don't see many people wearing shoes like this. If you're going to spend that much on shoes, it should be a timeless pair that won't go out of style (if these are even in style).
I do like futuristic styles. Bit tired of rehashes and retro looks. We MUST move forward. Love them, would wear them.
