The gladiator sandals are fading away but the Roman inspiration is back in a new shape thanks to Givenchy. These buckled wingtips are both aggressive and sexy (no small challenge for a man's shoe). Thanks to Amanda at IS MENTAL for the heads up.

Great art, if u'd ask me but wld i wear it? nope... its kind of a buzz right now, seen it on a couple of other blogs.
It takes a certain attitude and confidence to pull off a pair like this but it's surely worth a try.
As for the McQueen for Target, I wasn't too keen on it as I've heard about it being an extension of the McQ range over the main line. The main line is the one that speaks to me. The McQ line on the other hand lies on so-so territory.
The McQ line is drab and cheaply produced. I don't care for most downmarket secondary lines because they tend to share the same low quality value.
Yes, agressive indeed. But I'd give them a try if someone bought them for me. Haha!
