Goodbye Muxtape. Hello 8tracks.

Remember Muxtape? The short-lived site that allowed you to create you're own cassette tape ready playlist? It's supposed to be coming back in a short while with a new business model but in the meantime there's a new site which just came out a little bit ago that lets you do something rather similar. Its called 8tracks.

After creating a profile you upload your favorites (New Kids On The Block, Smashmouth, Boyzone, Enya etc) and arrange them into something listenable (promise not to judge you).

Here's something I slaved over a little while ago.





How long will this site last? Only baby Jesus knows.

We're licensed (unlike Muxtape and Playlist.com) under the US compulsory license for webcasting (the thing that governs internet radio, and under which which Pandora, Live365, Last.fm etc operate).
